Tasted 26/12/2005. 330ml bottle, from dad’s always interesting beer fridge. Like an ok beer mixed 50/50 with water. Very pale gold, an amazingly lacey and long lasting pure white head, that must be chemically enhanced. Aroma is sweet and corny, like most "premium" beers. Flavour is mild, watery and almost unhopped - just at the dry end of sweet. Softly carbonated and very skinny. Pathetic but better than Carlton Cold.

The pits. Rancid water drained through a dirty sock. They should be sued for misleading people by calling it ’Blonde’. I reckon the only blonde involved here is the dopey bird who wrote the ’recipe’ for this one on the back of her hand in lipstick.

I think highlandlad summed it up perfectly, so I’ll move straight on with my rating. Tasted from the bottle into a tall stein, there wasn’t much ’psssft’ when I cracked it so I was oddly hoping it was flat so I could move onto better things. Clear dull gold body with a malformed head that appeared like small globs of floating cream. Overly subtle grassy hops and salt water nose with the slightest hint of rusting car body. Dry, parching white wine and palest starchy grain flavours in the mouth, hops were singled out towards the back, raspy, grassy and sour. A few mouthfuls into it and a strong plastic-like feel and flavour took hold so I had to hasten things up and down it quickly. Only credit is that it remained crisp for the length and had little aftertaste (in this ones case a bonus). Not the best, and in these modern times a beer like this will hopefully fall short and be scrapped. (355ml, BBE 04/06)

Hop malt aroma with earthiness. Crystal clear yellow colour with poor head and no lacing. Light malt flavour. Flat palate.

8 July 2005 - Sweeet light malt hop aroma. Clear orange gold colour, with low head and poor lacing. Sweet simplistic malt and hop flavours, bland, bland, bland. Light hop lingering aftertaste and medium mouthfeel. Overall - Simpllistic factory beer.

Very pale golden, clear, medium head. I wouldn’t go so far as calling this "foul", but it is pretty boring. Sweet malt is really all you get for flavour (the same as all corn-adjunct, over-processed pale lagers on the market). Very thin palate. If you really need to drink while you lose weight, why not drink a better beer, just less often? Not one I’d come back too.
