Aroma of chocolate, malts, espresso, hops. The The feel is a bit thin and watery. The taste is coffee and malt with smoky notes. The finish is dry and espresso bitter. A nice, serviceable stout for the money, but there are better beers out there. NYHarvey (2154), New York, New York, USA

Aroma is roasty with medium chocolate notes and a bit of adjuncty/metallic sharpness. Body is a flat black with a slowly diminishing two finger thick moch head. Sweet cream fore is followed by roasted malts and accompanying bitterness, some mild stewed raisin notes and more sweetness in the finish. Fairly high degree of bitterness from the middle to the finish provided by roasted malts. Tastes a bit tinny. It’s a little like Guinness Extra Stout, but not as good due to that metallic tinge. tatinek (20), South Dakota, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jan 10, 2006 Pours a clear, dark brown color with a tiny tan head. Aroma is slightly roasty but not as warm or roasty as i was expecting. Flavor is slightly burned and roasty. The taste is very smoky. Very bubbly on the palate which i find odd for a stout. Not a great stout, but not horrible by any means. omhper (12299), Stockholm, Sweden

Sweet and creamy, yet with metallic mouthfeel and notes of blood. There some pleasant estery chocolate sauce in their as well, but the finish has more of the metal. A beer with some good qualities, but also some obviuos shortcomings. Vac (2394), San Diego, California, USA
