(Bottle 37,5 cl) Courtesy of highlandlad. Pours completely opaque black with a nice, beige head. Aroma of alcohol and roasted malt. Medium body, roasted malt accents and alcohol - surprisingly alcoholic considering its only moderate alcohol. Weak smoky touches. Almost no bitterness. 310507

330ml bottle - pitch black, fluffy crema head. Strong earthy peat aroma. Rich coffee and cocoa flavours that develop nicely throughout the full mouth. Really nice when warmed

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt and chocolate, as well as light notes of soy sauce. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of hard roasted malt as well as lighter notes of chocolate, oranges, and soy sauce, leading to a dry bitter and still malty end.

Bottled. Very dark reddish brown.. Light brown head. Sweetness, light roast, fruits and cocoa in the aroma. Flavour is sweet and roasty. Has some spice and cocoa. Is medium bodied. Dry. Light medical end.

Had this one at the end of a nice long mountain biking session on the Braille Trail. Nice dark color with good head. Aroma is of roasted malt. Something was a bit off in the flavor though. Something harsh and astringent about it. Not very smooth. Disappointing.

Remember liking it more when it was one of the first heavy beers I’d tried, but after tasting a bucketload of other great stouts and porters which have gone to the effort of providing some pleasant flavours on their way to making me wince, the sheaf has lost most of its attraction.

Bottle. Appearance brown-black with off tannish head that disappeared. Chocolate and malts in the nose, with a little sweetness and coffee in the taste. Decent mouthfeel. Nothing too exciting but drinkable yet.

pours muddy dark black with a frothy light brown head. Aroma is malty, cookies, roasted malts, dark chocolate, and strong coffee, and broth. Flavor is well balanced and stouty. Finish is more toasted. Medium bodied, watery buy yet creamy, softly carbonated. Its not so great unless your broke.
