Had this one on draught at the brewpub in Rockford, Illinois. A very nice, deep amber color, hazy, with a fluffy white head. Typical alt nose, a bit fruity, a bit malty with a touch of dry hoppiness. Very clean and drinkable flavor, typical of the style. I would say this is a nice altbier and a very good beer from an excellent brewer in an unlikely location.

Served on tap at Carlyle. The beer came to the table a nice copper color, smooth white head and a medium amount of carbonation. The aroma of this beer is very light but had a low caramel malt aroma with a slight Spalter/Saaz hop aroma. This beers flavor was very crisp and clean with a some Munich malt character, slightly sour, a bit of the Saaz/Spalter hops flavor and a light toffee ending. Overall a good beer but wished there was a bit more of a malty nose to it
