JMerritt (1313), Macomb, Illinois, USA Mar 28, 2005 Cloudy red-brown, nicely double-hued, with a frothy off-white head that is mostly diminishing. Lightly malty aroma, notes of caramel and toffee. Flavor is a touch sour, with grainy notes (wheat, rye) most prevalent. Finish is lightly sour, with a certain ripened fruit tartness I could only compare to sour apples. Pretty tasty.
