Carlyle Dunkel Weizen

tap at brewpub-light caramel hue with a very faint off-white head. doesnt really look like a dunkel weiss. filtered and clear appearance. banana and chocolate dominate the nose. falvors are banana, caramel, and light roasted malt notes. tastes very true to the style. bigtime banana on the finish with a slight chalky feel. not bad.

Initial taste is a banana yeast bomb, but after your palate excepts it this is a fresh and well done dunkel.

Beautiful thick russet brew with a nose of caramel, wheat, and yeast. Very satisfying and refreshing. A little thinner than others I’ve had. Light spice and banana from yeast. Some sourness toward the back of the tongue and a short finish. Worth a try if you’re in Rockford.
