Carlyle Get Smoked

Dark brown and golden with large white head. Medium smoked aroma, lot of musty basement. Light malt flavor, very light on smoke. Moderately carbonated. Finish is semi dry, semi sweet. Just ok.

A nice thick, foamy, 1-inch headed, dark brown beer arrived at the table. The aroma was almost all smoke and reminded me of the smokiness aroma of Slim Jim’s. The flavor description had me preparing for a strong smoke flavor but the flavor was actually on the lower medium side and the first flavor tasted. Some noble hops in the middle with a little caramel malt at the end. The ending is a bid dry but adds to the overall feeling of this just ok beer.
