Elwood (661), Leesburg, Virginia, USA Oct 11, 2009 Serving: 12 oz. bottle.
Appearance: Clear gold with an effervescent white head. The head is gone in seconds.
Aroma: Wet paper, stale malt, corn syrup, and a bit of euro lager. Not good.
Flavor: Very watery. Corn, grain, and popcorn notes with a little back bitterness. I think I would rather have a Bud Light than this.
Palate: Medium-high carbonation with a very watery, light mouthfeel and a short, tasteless finish.
Overall: Nice job making a shitty BMC clone. 6ROW (243), corpus christi, Texas, USA Sep 29, 2009 bottle- pale amber color with a small white head . good lawn mower, i do not crave this beer xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA Sep 25, 2009 On tap at the Charlotte Airport, Carolina bar. Grainy flavor of malts and more metallic notes. Not so great. SuzyGreenberg (1318), Seattle, Washington, USA Sep 14, 2009 12 oz. bottle - pale gold with faint white head; a decent enough brew with aromas of stale grain, malt and honey; easy drinking with mild sweetness and grainy texture; good brew for the beach dkachur (2316), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Sep 3, 2009 12 ounce bottle from Total Wine in Richmond, VA. Pours a clear amber color with a medium head. Decent head retention
and lacing. Aroma is dirty grain. Taste is fairly foul... pale grainy malts and something a bit like salty meat.
Faint grassy hops. Thin, watery and highly carbonated. Poor effort. freekyp (900), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA Aug 9, 2009 Bottle Version. I was surprised to see that this beer is billed as a pilsener. The nose is very citric, fruity and ale-like, while the malt character shows wheaty dryness, not the typical cereal backbone you’d expect. This easy drinker has a bit of tartness that works for a hot weather poolside quaffer. Would not stand up to flavorful dark meats or Italian dishes, but fits well with lighter fare. Has this one on tap at the brewery as well, and comes across much better, with tartness dialed down and the malt dialed up. DandyWolfFloyd (331), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 6, 2009 So in an effort to conquer all the states, and then the nations, I had my friend Chris bring this back from his Myrtle Beach trip. And apparently even Carolinians will tell you their beer sucks, try something else. Well I have to disagree. This beer which was eventually found after quite an ordeal, has a couple good things going for it. The aroma has a nice amount of honey-like soft malt aromas. The appearance is at first a nice golden color with a fluffy white head, that quickly dissipates to absolutely nothing. Not really what I expect from a pilsener. The body is a clean coppery gold. The flavor is soft and pleasant with a nice amount of pale malts, no hops to speak of. The feel is genuinely soft and pleasant, very much a session type of beer. Nice.
