Really husky, and sticky sweet. Lots of fruity esters, but no hops for them to play with. Too sweet. Major conceptual problems. bu11zeye (5621), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 28, 2006 The best thing about my experience with this beer is that it came in a 16 ounce, squishy, brown plastic bottle. "Tall Blonde." Very confusing drink. The label reads, "A Genuine Pilsner Style Beer." That it ain’t, and "Golden Ale/Blonde Ale" is probably the best place to leave it. It pours a dirty straw color and doesn’t produce much of a head. It smells of malt and overly ripened pears. Tastes malty with old fruit and an odd bitterness. This is one of those beers that raises the question, "Why?"
