Commercial Description:
Originally, this intensely hopped ale was brewed in the 18th century to survive the long sea journey from the cooler breweries in England, around the Cape of Africa to India where the temperatures were too warm to brew. This beer has a unique floral aroma from the generous addition of Cascade hops to the fermenter in a procedure known as dry hopping.

Pours light copper with long-lasting whitish head. The aroma is sweet grapefruit, light caramel, and some other citrus tones. The flavor is grapefruit and grain up front, but falls into a metallic finish. The aftertaste is dry and cannabis-like.

Growler courtesy of emacgee. Pours copper with a thin off white head. Smells of citrus, pine resin, caramel, roses. Tastes of sweet malt and pine with some underlying bitterness. Mouthfeel is a little watery but has some nice hoppiness. Chewy caramel finish with some lasting bitterness.

Out of the growler at C-Bus 7. Clear orange color with a foamy off white head. Nice grapefruit aroma. Sharp hop taste with lots of pine and grapefruit on bready malt. Nice IPA.

C-bus 7. Spicey hops and grasses. Copper in color with no head. Medium palate. The taste is very earthy with floral and spicey hops. Nice solid flavor.

Growler shared at Columbus Tasting 7 - Pours amber with a short offwhite head that stayed fairly well. Aromas of grapefruit and pine. Flavor is grapefruit, pine and a good amount of caramel behind that. Finish is slightly on the bitter side. Easy to drink and pretty well balanced.
