Commercial Description:
Our lager, made with an all malt recipe, is a Bohemian-style pilsener beer. It contains gentle bitterness, soft maltiness, and is hopped true to style with Czech Saaz hops. This clear golden beer style, which utilizes bottom fermenting yeast, was developed in 1842 in the town of Pilsen at a time when all other beers were cloudy.

Clear dark yellow pour with fair ring of white head. Boring. Bandaid, Cardboard, and a fruit hop that was definitely not ’saazy’. Pass on this one too.

Pours a transparent golden bronze with a ring of stringy-lacing white head. Light, sweet, crisp pale malty nose has a subtle grassy Saaz hoppiness. Starts fairly full for the style with a nice, light sweetness and authentic earthy bitter balance. A pretty nice pilsener.

From notes 6/21/03: Pours a healthy darker yellow color than most pilseners. Little head on my serving, but the lacing was nice. Nice malty aroma. Grassy and grainy as well. Deep deep inhalations bring in a meaty husky scent. Delicious. The taste begins with malt tones, followed by a slight yeasty flair, all finished with a crisp clean Saaz hop bite. Nicely hopped. Very refreshing for summer. Easy to drink, no nasty skunky qualities here.
