| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 9, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Clear copper color with thin white head that dissipated quickly. No lace. Grainy and malty brown sugar aroma. Flavor is dominated by same grain with a light, fleeting hop fruitiness. Dry and very effervescent, almost to a fault. emacgee (1892), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 19, 2007 On tap at Bean and Barrel. Pours a coppery amber with a fair consistency. The head is thin, white, and frothy. The aroma is sweet and has some sweet fruit notes. The flavor is really sweet, some fruit that I can’t place my finger on, some slight hop, and maybe corny flavors. The palate is clean and cool. Very refreshing and palatable. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 25, 2009 On tap @ brewery. Amber color with a thin off-white head. Mild aroma of grains, noble hops. Taste isn’t really suggestive of a maibock, more like an ale - light grains, a small yeast component, very slight spice. Not that great. OldGrowth (1434), North Carolina, USA
