Earthy, soil, a little tartness in the aroma. Flavor is nice with lemon, orange, and grainy flavors. I expected this to be a pale lager and was pleasently surprised. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 9, 2007 pint @ brewpub. Ok aroma, tart & sweet. Grassy, toasted grain, sourdough, citrus, tad almond. Clean golden yellow color, small head, no lace. Sweet sour flavor, like aroma Grassy, citrusy, lite yeasty scent. Lite mouthfeel, kind of slick mouthfeel, bitter crisp finish. Easy to drink beer. Tad too of a grassy bitterness for my overall preference. Cornfield (4972), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 1, 2006 An okay attempt at a Kölsch, the German lawnmower beer. It’s got a very pale gold body with a small head that manages to do some fine lacing. The aroma is a light, sweet malt with a mild grassy bitterness. Spritzy in the mouth, it tastes of sweet grainy malts, finishing on an herbal bitter note.
