Earthy, soil, a little tartness in the aroma. Flavor is nice with lemon, orange, and grainy flavors. I expected this to be a pale lager and was pleasently surprised. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 16, 2006 From notes 5/5/03:
Poured a bright golden yellow color. Clear. A bubbly white head reduced to a milky film. Laces well. Slight smell if any. I could barely detect a scent. Grassy. The taste followed along with a grassy taste. Nice hop bite at the end, with a slightly grainy aftertaste. A subtle malt sweetness tempered by a healthy hop bite. Nothing heavy on the mouthfeel. An easy drinking pale pale ale without any nasty macro-ness involved.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Sep 3, 2006 Very light and airy. Not a bad beer, especially on a hot night. If you’re lookiing for a really big beer, though, you’re going to be disappointed.
