This may have tasted better due to circumstance, flavor had a lot going on. Classic American hefe. argo0 (6948), Washington DC, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 15, 2008 Growler. Nose is wheat, lemon, citrus and yeast. Flavor is similar. Very clean, very easy drinking. Didn’t taste much of banana flavors I am used to tasting if my hefes. Could of sworn this was just an american wheat ale. Solid effort from carolina brewery and much more drinkable than a few of their offerings. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 14, 2008 Nose of sweet lemon and wheat, some creamy hefeweizen yeast, and a twang of oranges. Flavor isn’t much different: creamy, sweetened wheat and oranges, medium to light body, somewhat oily and syrupy while still being a bit thin, with a chewy/chunk wheat character throughout. Not bad. kmweaver (2471), Sebastopol, California, USA

Thanks, Sam! Pours a hazy golden color; fluffy white head with good retention and mixed-bubbled lacing. Wheatiness, light citrus, and doughy yeast in the aroma; dry, crisp, husky. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: chewy yeastiness, citrus, minerals, and breadiness upfront; average carbonation; light acidity coming through; very drinkable stuff. Medium finish: breadiness, wheat, and citrus; ends quite dry and crisp. wilkie (1191), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
