Pours clear copper with a big off white head. Smoky nose, but does not defeat the caramel and sweet grain. Smoky flavor, not really a woody smoke, hard to place. Sweet grain and caramel. Light earthiness. A decent drinker. OldGrowth (1425), North Carolina, USA

Clean brownish orange color, good head that faded quick, minor lace. Flavor is like aroma. get a little more fruit than aroma. lite body creamy oily mouthfeel, dry but sticky finish. Not bad in the scheme of things. Once I read the commercial description I see why I was getting the fruit, from the ofest profile, about time I got around to this one, I bought it the week it came out, ha ha.... ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA

I never like smoke beers for starters, but this one was somewhat drinkable; meaning I actually finished the glass of it. Brown color, no real head so to speak. Smell is smokey and thats really all I get. Taste is smokey, watered down, and has a huge wheat like prescence. Its an alright beer, but I think it would have been better as just a regular lager instead of imposing smoke into it... Thanks Tom. RollinHard (758), Fort Worth, Texas, USA

Finishes bready with a sweet smokiness. Yum. It’s alright overall, but nothing special really. bu11zeye (5442), Frisco, Texas, USA

Wish we got more of the CBC seasonals around here... they’re so close! Clear amber brown pour. Thin gauzy white head. Sweet grainy nose and malt presence. Minor smoke presence. More sweet than smoky, but not too bad TURDFERGUSON (1601), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA

This is pretty meh as far as quality smoke beers go but not bad for my local brewery if you know what I mean. Not a very intense smokey flavor and sort of watered down at times, but for the most part it holds its ground and its not as bad as Jamie says though he is harsh critic of the smokey brewskis. Thanks for trying CBC! Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA

This one was unfortunatel fairly plain. Amber colored with a thin head. Fruity apple aroma with faint smoke. The smoke takes a backseat to a simple Marzen like beer when it comes to the flavor as well. Whatever.
