Commercial Description:
Carolina Brewing Company is proud to introduced our first new beer year-round beer in 7 years: Carolina IPA. We are producing it in bottles and kegs. It is brewed with pale, caramel and cara-pils malts and is vigorously finished with Cascade and Crystal hops. It has a golden color and crisp, slightly citrusy finish. No CBC beers are ever pasteurized and they never contain preservatives.

A 12oz bottle from a local brewer - this IPA pours a hazy orange color with a thin white head and decent lacing. Smells of hops, grapefruit and flowers. Mellow citrus and hop taste - not a ton of bite from this one but a very smooth and drinkable IPA. Would be a great brew to turn a non-IPA fan to in order to "ease" them into the hoppier beer scene.

Bottle. Copper color with an off white billowy head. A hoppy grapefruit aroma and a nutty hop flavor with a big bitter finish. A good IPA but I dont taste a lot of complexity here

Bottl;e courtesy of durhambeer. Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of citrus, tea, perfume. Tastes bitter and resiny with some maty undertones.

Small white head thats short lived with minimal lacing left behind. Hazy orange/amber color. Nose is faint citrus and some caramel malts. Body is med/light with a good carbonation feel and a light oilyness. Medium sweet malts, light caramel, light toastiness and a nice citrus balance, light fruits and earthiness. Fairly dry, lightly fruity finish with a gentle hop bite. An easy quaffer. Props to oldstylecubfan for the bottle!

Pours a copper color with a small cream colored head. Floral aroma with hops and taste is a typical example of the style. A solid beer worth drinking.

bottle, bottle on 05/07/08. Nice. Good aroma, sweet. Grassy, biscuity, flowery/ Clean classic copper color. Good head that faded quickly. Good lace. Bitter flavor, like aroma, more of the grassiness comes out. Lite body, creamy mouthfeel. Bitter dry finish, kid of fades away quietly. Nice brew, Aroma was real ggod on this actually being so fresh. Not gonna wow you, just a straight foward IPA

Slightly hazy amber pour. Nice fresh hops and citrus nose. A little bitter, pleasantly so. One of the better beers from CBC.
