Poured with a reddish amber color and a fine head of light foam. Nice flourishing cascadey hop aroma. Delicious piney, citrus hoppiness predominates the palate, but in a restrained and very drinkable way. Bit dry, a fuller backdrop could make it perfect. Aroma is citrus fruit and molasses. Flavor is sweet with some bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied. Texture is a bit dry. Long finish. Well-balanced. Solid IPA. benclarkiii (73), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 16, 2007 I love this beer. This is one of the first hoppy beers that I began to drink often. I am not an IPA expert but it seems to have a good balance. I really liek the finish, too. I am raelly glad they made this a permanent offering. NachlamSie (1637), Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 31, 2007 Bottle during my NC brew tour. Pours amber red with a small white head. The nose is quite fruity with some minimal citrus notes and a bit of funky, musty barley. The hop presence is notably more assertive in the flavor and leaves a fair piney sting with hints of tree bark. Adequate juicy sweetness and clean caramel notes provide the appropriate balance. Pretty decent! shrubber85 (2910), Wallhalben, Germany
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 27, 2007 Bottle (courtesy of TURDFERGUSON). Light orange peel and malt aroma. Cloudy orange-brown color with small head. Mild orange juice and malt flavor - moderate bitter finish. I’m guessing the lack of pasteurization gives this beer a fresher and smoother flavor - nice transition from fruitiness to bitterness. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 25, 2007 From a 12 oz. bottle with no freshness date.
Poured a slightly hazy reddish golden orange with a foamy, bubbly topped white head that settled into a thin lacing, very minimal amount of sticking.
Hoppy aromas of apricots and a orangey citrus, a bit floral, and a sweet pale malty.
Medium carbonation and a crisp, dryish, velvety smooth medium-light bodied mouthfeel.
Pleasant IPA taste, sour citrus, sweet fruitiness, oily, a dry earthy tobacco leafiness, a soft, but lingering bitterness, sugary malts with a touch of caramel, and a dry grainy, earthy, leafy finish.
Easy drinkability, quite quaffable, a nice, simple IPA.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 14, 2006 Surprisingly high quality brew from this little known brewer...very nice indeed! There is a prominent grapefruit and pine resin nose. The initial flavor is sweet caramel malt and PNW hop bitterness...citrus and pine. I said it before and I’ll say it again...this is a really fine APA in IPA clothing.
