Commercial Description:
A medium bodied, dark brown ale with a complex chocolatey, toasted malt taste. The word "nut" in the name implies a dry nut-like taste that makes it distinct from some of the sweeter brwon ales.

Pours an amber brown color with an off white head. Aroma is malty, nutty, toasty, brown sugar, and a hint of hops. Flavor is malty, nutty, toasty, chocolate, a touch of brown sugar, and a spicy hop finish.

Appearance: Pours a light hazy, brown body with a small, wispy white head. Smell: Semi-sweet chocolate and roasted nuts with a handful of spruce twigs and spice. Taste: Chocolatey, with a taste of burnt nuts, a dash of mocha, and a muted sweetness - like a Nutella-based beer. Hops tasting of spruce with a medium bitterness. Spicy, drying finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation that pricks the tongue at times and enhances that spicy finish. Drinkability: Loads of character for a humble brown ale.

Pours a dark mahogany brown with a moderate, quickly dropping head. Strong nutty aroma. Flavor is nutty, with a sweet malt backbone. A faint smokiness in the background. Slight hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Lightly carbonated on the tongue with a medium body. A nice English brown ale.

A solid overall brown ale. Honestly I’m not the biggest fan of brown ales, but it tastes good during these indian summer days. Brown, but not very dark. Malty sweetness present, but not strong. Slightly nutty. No strong flavors here.

Draft at the brewery. Looks almost perfect in the glass...dark brown, small tan head. Smells like roasted nuts and sugars. The flavor starts out pretty good with sweet caramel, cashews, and almonds, but as it warms up the flavor’s a little off with increasing sour flavors. It left my mouth overly sticky feeling.

Nutty, chocolate brown ale. Watery, but was fine for a session on a scorching hot day in NC.

Draught. Pours orange-brown with thin off-white head. The aroma is very caramelly with hints of chocolate, toast, and even a little bit of citrus. Flavor is caramel and pistacchio, maybe a touch of chocolate. Acidic in middle and finish, a bit piney. Carbonic finish. Gets chocolately as it warms.
