Commercial Description:
A medium bodied, dark brown ale with a complex chocolatey, toasted malt taste. The word "nut" in the name implies a dry nut-like taste that makes it distinct from some of the sweeter brwon ales.

Fairly dark brown to red with a light brown head which fully recedes. Light carbonation. Slightly sweet aroma. Smoky, lightly hopsy finish. A much better choice than the CBC Lager.

This is a decent brown ale will a lot of nutty flavor. There was a little too much nut for my taste. Had nice aroma and appearance.

If you like coffee brown ales, this is the one for you. It’s also quite nutty and sweet. You’ll appreciate what Carolina Brewing has done here, putting plenty of quality ingredients into this brew that could have easily been run of the mill, but exceeded my expectations due to its full flavor profile.

Brown with a good head. Medium body and a nice chocolate and malty taste. I tasted peanuts as well in the beer. Very good nut brown and i am not much of a fan of nuts but it was a good drinkable beer.

Thin frothy head of fine bubbles. Reduces to a thin foam. Decent carbonation with good lacing. Nice roasty aroma. Dry roasted peanuts, smoke and roasted grains. Color is a nice dark reddish brown. Flavor is roasty again with a nice bitterness. Bit of coffee in the flavor that lingers for a while. More roasted grains. Finish is slightly bitter and a little acidic. A decent brown ale.

OK brown ale. Pours brown with a small head. Taste and aroma is nutty and a little chocolately. Mouthfeel was watery though.

a beer i'd drink everyday. brewed about 7.5 miles from my house, i was surprised that a beer from my backyard would be so good. i prefer it to newcastle, it has a definite nutty taste, and a fisnish that almost reminds me of chocolate.
