Commercial Description:
A medium bodied, dark brown ale with a complex chocolatey, toasted malt taste. The word "nut" in the name implies a dry nut-like taste that makes it distinct from some of the sweeter brwon ales.

Not a great brown ale. My six may have been a bit off... fishy aroma. Flavor is malty and well-balanced, but thin.

Bottle dated 4/4/07 purchased at the brewery. Nice mahogoney brown color and fully laced head. Nice roasted caramel aroma; wow, this has a nice woody, nutty, earthy flavor ... this makes me want to go camping. (#2838, 5/4/2007)

Draught. Clear brown color with tan head. Nutty, milk chocolate nose with a hint of sprucy hops. Slightly sweet with roasted milk chocolate flavor and spicy finish. Very good brown ale.

If you like coffee brown ales, this is the one for you. It’s also quite nutty and sweet. You’ll appreciate what Carolina Brewing has done here, putting plenty of quality ingredients into this brew that could have easily been run of the mill, but exceeded my expectations due to its full flavor profile.
