Carolina Pale Ale

bottle. an ok pale ale that was perfectly drinkable but seemed to have some slight undercurrent or lack of balance that didn’t work. a bit thin.

12 oz bottle - been a stand-by beer for me since I moved to the Raleigh NC area in 2006. Pours a orangish gold color with a thin white head. Mild citrus and hops aroma with faint bread and malt. Taste is a mild, smooth albeit light citrus and hoppy flavor. Nothing extraordinary about this pale ale other than the fact that it is very consistent and very easy to drink and it will please the masses if you are looking for something to stock the fridge with when people are coming over.

Golden color. Overall very solid. Not too hoppy, some malts and biscuits. Sweet and balanced.

Pours a clear golden color no head ... light sweet malt aroma ... medium bodied slightly skunky taste little bit of sweet malt taste and just a little hop at the end not a good example of a pale ale, but its not crap either

Serving: 12 oz. bottle. Appearance: Crystal clear gold with a small, foamy, white head. Aroma: Very hard to detect. Slight hint of urine. Taste: Light malt notes, noble hops perhaps, and a little graininess. Palate: Medium carbonation with medium-light, slightly dry mouthfeel. Medium-short finish. Overall: Reminds me more of a Kolsch than a pale ale. Lacks body and flavor. Satisfying my ass.

Bottle courtesy of Bill on 07/12/2009. Clear golden amber body with a small frothy off-white head. Sweet earthy and pale malt aroma. Earthy, slightly spicy malt flavor with a bit of floral hops. Medium body with moderately low carbonation.

This is bad. Watery with a metallic taste. Hardly any aroma and what there is is not good. Very thin finish. Lousy

Bottle. Poured a cloudy amber color with a light foamy head, carbonation was mild. The aroma was of hops and malts. The mouthfeel was bold and satisfying with a nice hoppy flavor. Overall a nice beer.
