Commercial Description:
This amber colored beer is our interpretation of the classic British Pale Ale originating in Burton-Upon-Trent, England. Three varieties of American grown hops create a pleasing bitterness, aroma and lingering hop taste. Our Pale Ale's medium-light body and clean taste make it an excellent accompaniment to a fine meal or a satisfying drink all by itself.

The color was golden with light orange hues. The head was thin bodied, off-white, and fizzy. The aroma had some hopps. The flavor was a little bitter. The palate was thin/medium bodied. The finishw as lackng and abrupt.

Draught. Pours gold with well-lacing white head. The aroma is grapefruit and lemon and some sugary pine. The flavor is grapefruit at first, then moves toward pine. Gets bread and bark tones, too, especially toward finish. Finish has slight dryness and a brief pinecone aftertaste.

Poured a semi-substantial pale amber. Not exactly clear but not super viscous. The head was frothy, white, and medium. the aroma was a tad fruity, hops are evident, some sweetness, a bit lacking but solid. The flavor was semi-bitter, a tad waxy, dry, a good balance but also a bit lacking. The palate and finish were also mediocre.

This rating from the bottle, although I had several pints of this on tap while in Raleigh, definitely the best available in the hotel bar! Right down the pipe for a pale ale, I’d put this more in the American vein than English ... light in its amber hue, limited in it’s carbonation, and little head. But it’s got a decent hoppy citursy character, definitely quaffable, and a quality session brew. (#2844, 5/6/2007)

Crisp aroma, light citrus, with some piney hops. Pours pale with a short lasting head. Flavor is nice, sarts off malty, then has a fresh citrus midddle and a bitter finish. Somewhat thing bodied. Great beer to have with mexican food (which I’m about to eat).

Poured a nice pale yellow with only a small head. Some malty flavor but not overaly complex. A nice beer with a meal.

12 oz. bottle via trade with TURDFERGUSON - Pours a clear orangish color with a 1/2 finger thick white head. Has a light grassy, herbal hop aroma. Has a sligtly sour bitterness to the flavor. Thin palate. Light to medium body. Not the best beer. Thanks Sam.

Bottle. Pours a slightly dark gold hue with a small white head. The nose is a little unclean with hints of skunk and hay. A bit of caramel and papery hops are noted too. The mouthfeel is thin, but not overly so. Some simple barley notes and generic sweetness make up the flavor. A dash of wooden hop flavor. This is a basic introductory brew.
