| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 11, 2009 Poured crystal clear in a orange-copper color and off-white head. The aroma was a mix, but strong, of bready malt and citrus hop. Hops lean toward domination. The flavor is malt dominant but again strong in both malt and hop. Citrus being the main hop component. Almost a medium body with a semi-dry finish and a good bitterness. A solid IPA. GeneralGao (3071), Iowa City, Iowa, USA

More robust and yeasty nose than CBC’s regular IPA, this one is appealing. Strong golden body, with an ample head and modest carbonation, this one has an earthy quality from the get-go. I get more pine and resin than citrus, which is fine, because it offsets the somewhat bready qualities that seem to persist in all of this brewery’s offerings. Pretty good. Thanks, D!
