22415brewery (57), redmond, Washington, USA Nov 5, 2009 Tastes great with mexican food. Tastes like fizzy water without it. Forget Carta Blanca....you might as well call it Coors Budweiser...but slightly better. I’m sure location has more to do with the impression of this pale lager than the actual flavor....I’m sure it would taste awesome on a warm sunny beach in Mexico with a plateful of taquitos. In this instance, location is everything. Prometheus (97), Fayetteville, North Carolina, USA Oct 22, 2009 Bottle at the local Mexican restaurant.
Yellow, fizzy.
Great beer to drink with Mexican food and goes down easy. Not bad. NobleSquirrel (1094), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 19, 2009 Bottle. Standard yellow, fizzy head. I found the carbonation level to be pretty good. On taste, it’s grainy/corny, a kiss of hops and pretty dry finish. It is somewhat sweet, very easy to drink. Okay. doomfistinc (15), New Mexico, USA Oct 19, 2009 2 pint bottle. Pours the standard cerveza pale yellow. Finger thick head that dissipates within a minute. Smells slightly of corn. The palate is very carbonated with a clean finish. Thicker than its brother Dos Equis, with a tad more flavor. Costs a good 75c (US) less per bomber than Dos Equis. Also comes in 2 pint bottles instead of 1.5.
A good cerveza overall. Very clean, very drinkable. Fratto (662), Arlington, Texas, USA Sep 14, 2009 Typical Mexican pale lager. Thin, yellow, bland, and a little too much carbonation. SuIIy (1405), Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, USA Sep 11, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear goldish color with a small white head. Nose is lightly grainy. Palate is thin and fizzy. Flavor of light grain, water, bit of cardboard. Papsoe (14613), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 3, 2009 Bottle 35,5 cl. Clear yellow with a white head. Sweet corn aroma. Medium body, sweet malt and corn with a whiff of sulphur. Hardly any bitterness. 060709 Onslow (174), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA Aug 28, 2009 Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Typical looking brew. Not much to the aroma - a bit of corn and grass. Flavor is mild with the most notable characteristic being a dry, grassy hops finish. Better than many not not so great.
