Short duration, light sweetness, acidity and bitterness. Tmoney99 (4742), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Poured clear pale color with an average frothy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Moderate sweet grainy aroma. Light body with a thin texture and soft carbonation. Light sweet flavor with soft sweet finish of short duration. Worth trying once. GlenVargas (120), El Paso, Texas, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 3, 2007 Carta Blanca (caguama) might be a little on the darker, heavier side than most Mexican pale lagers, but it really seems like the Mexican equivalent of Busch (although a bit less offensive). The smell is really really ripe and grassy; the taste is grain, sourness, and sweet rice/corn adjunct somethinorother. Ultimately, Carta Blanca is just another super-cheap, not-to-terrible option at the corner store. bhensonb (4276), Woodland, California, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Sep 1, 2007 This may be my first CB since standing on the streets of Tijuana at age 18 (long ago). My recollection is that it seemed a bit peachy. The aroma is standard grass and light corn. The color is brassy gold, and the white head quickly flattened. The body approaches medium, the carbonation is near creamy, and there is enough suggestion of fruity sweetness to explain why an American lager lad thought it was peachy. Not saying it is fruity, just that there is so much flavor that a young, confused, palate could imagine such. One of the better lagers I’ve had from the South. Travis McGee drank it. That’s a good recommendation. Icommonsewer (122), TUCSON, Arizona, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 26, 2007 I guess I am starting to understand Mexican beers. Their water is not potable, so they make beer instead. And the beers they make are so weak in taste and body that it’s like drinking water, only with a little alcohol in there too! dankman38 (228), Somewhere in, Ohio, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/20 | Aug 21, 2007 Typical Mexican Lager; tasteless, odorless and, colorless. The only positive thing about this beer is that it contains alcohol. joohefner (380), Isla Vista, California, USA
