Maybe a touch richer in malt taste. Does have a decent head which leaves a little lace. But... there’s that nasty dead yeast smell again. Something malty, something corny, something gassy and a little too filling. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jun 27, 2005 12 oz bottle at Casa Fiesta- Poured pale golden with a short white head. Not much aroma but I could detect a little bit of corn. Not much taste either. Light corn flavor. Best to put in a lime to give it some sort of taste. At least it washed down the fajitas. | 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jun 26, 2005 Smelled like nothing. If I REALLY strained I could get a little tickle in my nose from carbonation but no actual aroma. Poured a nice head that quickly faded. Nice golden color. Little taste at all, but not offensive and actual somewhat refreshing. Most american macros trigger my gag reflex and this I could drink, though if I am ever in a bar and this is the best selection I’ll probably choose the wine. | 0.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 2/20 | Jun 21, 2005 So, my first rating posted (not in order of consumption) while I am here in Chile. And its a Mexican beer! Wow what a red letter day, as opposed to the white letter that this beer purports to be. You know, I had a premonition about this one so I bought it along with a litre bottle of Paulaner lager. This was in anticipation of an expected drainpour and I was spot on. As pale as you can get with the obligatory ammonia bleached head. The nose is a bit ammoniac and vegie soup rolled into one. As is the flavour if it can indeed be found. Along with this was a poor taste of grain and corn adjuncts. No genuine hop presence is detected and a bitter thinness in aftertaste ensues at the end. In all this is a can of evil which should make it a diablo rojo. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jun 13, 2005 bottle-im not going to give this a real rating. Im going to give you what i had during my experience with this beer. I had this beer for the first time in Juarez, Mexico this past weekend. I am currently dating an amazing woman that lives there. I must admitt, the city is a shithole, but she is above and beyond the scum that is prevelant there. I drank this beer at a small pool hall in juarez. Her and I had very good conversations over this beer i must say. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jun 6, 2005 Bottle from Peace St. Market, Raleigh. My pale lager parade continues. Another Corona clone, with pale gold color, aroma of hopcit and some corn, and watery taste of the above aromas. tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 27, 2005 An ok beer but it wasn’t really anything special. Good for Mexico, better than a Corona. Good with Mexican food. bkurtz (276), Peru
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 23, 2005 (can) Poured golden yellow. A little fizz, not much head. Corn taste, but smooth. Above average Mexican macro. Not a good beer.
