It is Mexican beer, better than Bud but fairly unimpressive. Not very heavy, would wash down the peppers well though. Good for boiling sausages though.

32 oz caguama: Or thats what the old mexican workers at my work call 32’s. I guess cuz its chubby and hard like a turtle? Anyways this stuff smells exaclty like Tecate. Same old shit as all the other beers from Mexico except this has a little more sweeted malt. Point for this being 6% instead of 4 something.

its funny but the carta blanca here in bakersfield does not look anything like that picture.it come in 32’s with a screw-off top.its your typical mexican lager that goes well with limes, salsa, and carne asada tacos.

Got this at the corner Osama store. Pours yellow with no head . No carbonation and a watery body. The aroma is corn . It tastes like metal!!

Pale (imitatation of a) lager. Very little flavor, good or bad. Just cold, cold alcohol to wash away the hot pepper juices, so that you can begin all over again. (Negra Modelo, next time.)

seated at the restaurant, i got my nachos and salsa in advance of the beer by about ten minutes. quickly i’d scarfed a basket of chips-- with the frantic hunger of a guatemalan street dog--and each gobble was loaded with liberal dips of thermo-nuclear salsa. i was fairly incendiary by the time the beer arrived. with that painful condition of "palette scorch"-- the beer-- served as cold as glacial run-off, had an effect alot like putting my tongue on a frozen pump handle. naturally it had come served in the classic mexican restaurant style: frozen mug, wedge of lime ensconced in the mouth of the bottle. it oozed as forcefully into the mug as it’s polar temperature would allow, a tortilla yellow-tan color, and braced itself with a thin head of foam. taking the obligatory chug, it was like jumping off an ice floe after a thirty minute sauna. once i’d drained about half of it, i decided that such a quenching beverage deserved a rating. i sniffed for an aroma and found none. i called the waiter back over: "por favor", i queried pleasantly, "wasn’t i supposed to get some aroma with this?" he squinted, perplexed: "que?!?" oh well, no aroma then. plain lager flavor, just a trace of that polluting lime wedge. carbonation is carta blanca’s most conspicuous aspect. thin, very cold, some hard-tack cracker malt, a touch of honey tinged sweetness, maybe a footprint or two where some wild hops once ran lightly across the flavor. nothing here but a buzz and a nice functional refreshment.

Another lager.. I dont like lagers. This might have some appeal to people who like lagers but not to me. It had some malt and hops and bitterness. Seemed to be an ok, average Lager. I’ve had worse. I gotta get away from these things.
