Not a very good beer. No flavor or aroma to speak of. perhaps mexicans desire their beer to be watery. I would have to say that the lightness could be rather refreshing on a hot cancun night.

I found this an enjoyable companion to my chimi changa at El Mariachi Mexican restaurant here. The aroma was subtle and in the background. It somehow tasted like creamed corn to me - and I kind of liked that, although not *that* much. Its palate was palateable and on the whole a wholly unoffensive brew. I’d probably prefer Tecate or Negra Modelo, but then again, I might get this one. Its taste is complementary to the food. That goes a long way.

I have to agree with Da Sikly1, about the water or the corn, or perhaps the growing conditions of the soil. Something unique to Mexican lagers that makes them taste the same but also identifies them as such, you automatically know when you are drinking one. Light fizzy yellow corn coloring with a fastly fading head. Smell is grassy and the taste is watery and bland, with some sweetness of bread. Not going to be a favorite.

Clear gold, smallish white head. Sweetish, bready aroma. Lightly flavored and watery, and a hint of sweet corn flavor at finish. Ever so slightly viscous mouthfeel.

transparent golden, white head..overly adjuncty aroma with hints of tartness...mexican flavorsm, yes...that last rating got me to thinking that, yes indeed, mexican lagers have a unique taste that is shared by the majority of them...this one included...maybe its the water or the corn..or the yeast...but i like em all better than U.S. macros for sure.

It has that Mexican lager flavor, but is not as smooth as some of the others (Corona, Dos Equis, etc.). It has a crispness to it that sets it apart, but not pleasantly.

(Bottle) Your typical Mexian beer. Okay if ice cold and served with some spicy Mexican food.

had this in the mexican place the other night. actually i order them all the time- that or dos equis- when i eat mexican food, and i thought i had rated this. crisp taste, goes down easy, obvious choice when i go get mexican food. im not too sure about 6% alc though..
