| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Mar 13, 2004 pale yellow golden color with a brief white head, light carbonation. The aroma is very light, almost non-existant with some light grains coming through. The flavor is lightly crisp, nothing really stands out. This just feels like another stereotypical international lager to me. Ringo (959), Loveland, Colorado, USA

Apparently, a few more characters to get my rating in... Had this recently at a local Mexican restaurant. Had to try it because it was the only beer on the menu that I had never tried before. While I was not impressed by the label on the bottle (basically take a Schaefer label, and put a different name on it), it wasn't all that bad. Poured the typical golden lager color. Some head, but nothing to write home about. Looked to be highly carbonated, but upon drinking it wasn't so much. The beer went down very smooth and was surprisingly flavorful and robust for a Am.Std. However, it did have slightly rancid aftertaste that I didn't care for. Was it better that 90% of other Mexican brews? Yes. Would I go out of my way to try it again - No way. Basically, I can get the same thing domestically, just it will be labeled Strohs, and will be significantly cheaper. ghawener (966), San Salvador, El Salvador
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Jan 24, 2004 Bottle: Pale yellow colour with no head at all, slight rancid aroma, taste is far below average as it has absolutely nothing to compliment. One good thing is its convienent screw off cap. GreatStelle (360), Chico, California, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 1, 2003 Another typical mexican beer. Good with some corn chips but not good for anything else. Very light and watery. Not much flavor provided by the malts or hops. Better grab a lime and some salt. surfmurf (77), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
