On draught at the brewery’s taproom in downtown Billings, Montana. Pours a clear copper penny amber brew with a slow dissolving, creamy off-white head that has some excellent lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, a touch of sweet apples, dry spices and a good balance of flowery hops. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated with a good balance of semi-sweet caramel malt and hop bitterness. I even detected a slight apple character hidden in the background. Finish has a quick mild bitterness at first and then a clean and crisp aftertaste.
