i could not determine anything specific about this beer. my notes for this brew are not very helpful. the appearance is amber with no head. everything else is spice, as in "aroma: spicey", "flavor: spicey", "palate: spicey". i may have been making a joke in my notes (’making a joke in your notes’ sounds slightly off-color, but i’ll leave it) but i doubt it, because my overall comments were: "not very good. and not too complex. just not very good".

Blend of whaaat?!? But actually pretty drinkable...Nice balance of malt sweetness, hop bitter bite, and whiskey alcoholic fumes...I’d have another one of these mongrels anytime!

The description reads, "A blend of IPA, American Amber and Double CA Common, dry-hopped, aged in whiskey barrels and conditioned in stainless steel," and I think that says it all. What is it? It’s got an interesting aroma, floral and citric hops along with an underlying maltiness and a goodly helping of spirits. Actually smooth to drink, bitter, malty and whiskey-like with a slightly grainy mouthfeel. I enjoyed it, but I’m not certain I could tell you why.
