Mar 12, 2008 poured dark amber, slight head. aroma sweet and citrusy. flavor is carmel with hoppy citrus tones. didn’t catch much of the oak chips, except maybe in the finish.

Oct 29, 2006 on tap-pours an off white head with gold/orange color. Aroma is sweet malt-caramel, citrus hops. Taste is sweet malt-caramel, balanced with citrus hops. OK/mild carbonation.

Sep 24, 2006 Draft pint at the brewpub, 9/18/06: Dark red with a really thin, yet rocky, head. Nice fully consistency with a nice full-up body. Perfectly built but un-biscuity maltiness with just a twist of hoppy bitterness. One of the better ambers I’ve had in a while.

Jul 9, 2006 Growler poured a clear amber with a minimal ivory head. Aromas of carmel, a hint of oak and some citrus notes. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, a hint of toffee, light citrus and a bit of oak with a smooth lingering woody finish. A very tasty amber indeed!
