The aroma is weak, but sweet and malty with hoppy notes. The color is orange and it has a fine though fast disappearing head. The flavor is lovely malty though simple with notes of straws and aroma hops. It ends on a slight bitterness. An OK international lager without being anything special.

(Bottle 33 cl) Comes as "Casablanca Beer". Pilsener golden with tiny, floating impurities. Decent, creamy head with fair retention. Hoppy, phenolic nose. Flavour has some unusual earthy, fusty notes that I would usually associate with Belgian or French microbrews - certainly not in a lager! Sweet, grainy notes and a solid bitter finish. I’m not sure this is how it’s supposed to taste (no expiry date), but I kinda enjoyed it. 070106

33 cL bottle. Pours clear yellow with a thick white head. Slight bitter and minor sweet malty aroma. Starts soft malty with a hint of caramel and reveals a slight metallic edge and a minor fruity note before the finish. Has a bit of salt and some liqourice like flavour to it. Finish holds a nice blend between mildly roasted caramel malt and bitterness. Good.

Golden coloured. Rather sweet and malty. Suprisingly full flavoured for an African lager.

Bottle 330ml. @ home.
Clear light to medium yellow orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, fruity, marzipan, light hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light metalic. [20090708]

For a mainstream lager, this has some great pale malt flavours - a biscuity warmth that impressed me. One of the small handful of examples of this style that is actually good.

Blond color. Bad aroma, and a strange cork (???) taste. Strong bitter finish.
