Flavor is moderately tart, with a rounded oakiness showing up on the finish. Pretty nice. tokyogoat (576), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 25, 2009 Pours a rusty blood orange.
Nose is spicy and tart with red apple peel, cinnamon, red wine and oak.
Taste is very much like a standard flanders, lots of vinegar, red wine, oak, finishes a little thin. dmac (1506), Toms River, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 24, 2009 Bottle shared at Moosetoberfest. Poured an ugly brown body with a bubbly white small head. Aroma of vinegar, red wine, sour wet wood and lawn odors. The flavor was very sour and woody with notes of red wine vinegar and malts. Medium to thin body with average carbonation and a sour finish. Good stuff but when drank with Duck Duck Gueze and Temptation this one pales in comparison. hobbersr (413), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 4, 2009 Thanks to savvy1982 for the share. Pours a hazy orange/brown with a decent sized light gray head. The aroma is all berries. Cranberries, grapes, raspberries, strawberries and lactic acid. The flavor is very similar. Like a berry blend juice or cocktail. Not really blowing me away, or impressing me for that. Meh, I could take pass on this one next time and not think twice. Beardface (1036), Eugene, Oregon, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 26, 2009 Bottle shared by Leems. Pours a hazy liight brown with a nice cap of tan head. Aroma is vinous, oak, cherries. Flavor is cherry, vinous, light oak. Not really all that sour, light mouthfeel. Not bad, but I still haven’t found a Cascade beer that lives up to the brewery’s hype. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 8, 2009 750ml bottle. Pours a deep hazy rusty brown color leaving a nice frothy beige head that left a bit of lacing on the tulip. Nose starts off with some sweet oak giving way to tart cherries and other berry fruits, nose was also quite vinous. Flavor held lots of sweet oak with some vinegar and dark cherries. Finish was kind of salty, a very underrated Sour IMO. malrubius (1005), Valley Stream, New York, USA
