Bottled. A hazy dark amber beer with a thin lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, cherries, and wood. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of cherries and medium notes of malt and wood, as well as light notes of almonds, leading to a tart finish.

From bottle, Papsoes blindtasting #4. Pours hazy dark brown with a small off-white head. Dry malty and light oxidised aroma. Light metallic too. Citric and roasted malt flavoured. Lasting citric and fruity flavoured impression into the far finish. Vague acetone like and oxidised impression into into the finish alongside a light roasted caramel/munich malt note.

hazy dull amber. Funky, footy pedio nose with light caramel and dates. Tart, sweet & sour taste. Nuanced juicy fruits (peach, plum, apricot) yet there’s a light brown sugar note too. Sweetness remains underneath, but this has definitely improved.

Initial rating, March 2008

Blend of five different beers. About 2 months old when sampled in March. Fiery amber colour. Slight haze. Has a big malt nose with light dark fruit accent, as in a quadrupel. Some vinous qualities that make me want to have a porterhouse. Tartness encloses the palate, duelling with an intensely sweet peachiness. This has a lot of potential - there’s quite a lot going on here. Once this dries out people will be looking for it. 7-3-7-3-14 = 3.4

Hazy deep amber with a medium off white head. Sour aroma with wood, brett, lacto and grapefruit notes. Flavour had sour plums, lacto, brett, wood, vinegar, leather and sour cherries. Finished sour. Lovely.
