#5 Bottle. [Papsoe grand American tasting] Small light creamy beige head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Hazy amber color. Aroma of mild cherry, vinegar, citrus, fruit. Over the palate came cherry, almond, marzipan and almost cinnamon like in the appearance. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation and light dry texture. Moderated sweet and acidic flavor. Lingering light sour cherry like finish. 7/ 3 / 8 / 3 / 16 = 3.7

From bottle, Papsoes blindtasting #5. Pours cloudy to hazy dark brown/orange with a small and off-white head. Dark malty, dark cherry fruity and mild citric note too. Dry malt flavoured, light citric and distinct fruity. Citric and acidic flavoured finish with a light lasting acetone and fruity impression.

SourFest II. Thanks to Skyview. Dark red color with a large head. Aroma of sweet cherries and a little wheat. Moderate cherry flavor, backed by a very dry grainy taste. Carbonated almost like Champagne.

Purchased a 750 ml bottle via Malt & Vine and sampled at Skyview Sourfest II. Pours a hazy dirty red/amber sour brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates to a thin film. Aroma of tart cherries, some dark bread, yeast funk, and a touch of oak. Taste is tart cherry, some vanilla, brown sugar and years. Finish has a mild cherry aftertaste and some light yeast. A tad more towards the sweet cherry side but a decent kriek overall.

Pours an attractive ruby red with no head. Nose is sweet cherry like a Luden’s cough drop. The flavor is bit more full and complex with some pie crust like smoothness.
