A brown body with an off white head. The aroma is hoppy with some malts. There is maly in the flavor with a bitterness from the hops that lingers. An unusual brown in my opinion and definite void of the nut or chocolate malt in the description.

Jul 16, 2008 Bottle from Sondra. Amber color with a decent off-white head. Rich, lightly roasted, malt aroma. Medium in body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is roasty malty sweet, with a little accompanying bitter. The finish is sort of creamy sweet with a little backing bitter. Very pleasant and quaffable brown ale. Might be a good session ale.

Jul 4, 2008 Visited the brew pub in Bend, OR. Pours reddish brown with small white head. Slight malt, some sweetness, but otherwise seems bland and thin to me.

Apr 22, 2008 Poured reddish brown with minimal head and some lacings. Sweet aroma, brown sugar.
Taste is sweet malts, brown sugar, toasty. Hops are a minor player but nicely bitter. Good dry finish. Overall pretty good example of the type. Will try a draft version sometime.

Mar 24, 2008 Bottle. Poured red brown with thin white head. Light hop aroma. Medium to thin body, malty with a bit of bite. Light finish.

Feb 4, 2008 From a 12oz. bottle--Poured a thin brown burnished body. Some sharp malts, but surprisingly more hoppy and floral than I expected. Very enjoyable beer!
