Nov 25, 2009 Pint at the Bier Stein. Pours a deep brown with a thick cap of tan foam. Aroma was hefty chocolate, cocoa, cream and roast. Flavor was very roasty chocolate and coffee with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Easily the best CL brew that I’ve had so far, I would definitely drink this again.

Dec 24, 2008 Draft @ 7th St Brewhouse, Redmond, OR. Pours a black color with a longlasting tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and coffee aroma. Slightly sweetish roasted malty creamy chocolate and coffee flavor with some hints of licorice. Has a sweetish roasted malty chocolate finish.

Jul 13, 2008 On draft at the 7th street pub in Redmond. Pours opaque with tall tan head. Roasted malt flavors and some sweetness, drinkable, rich and creamy mouthfeel. Decent alcohol kick too.

Jun 15, 2007 Om tap at the Lodge. Nice sweet roasted aroma. Full thick creamy tan head Light roasted flavr. Some smokey sweetness. Quite thin palate. Not impressive but drinkable.

Nov 13, 2006 [Draft - Bend, Oregon] A deep dark black beer with a small head. This had a deep rich aroma of toffee and caramel. A slight hop presence in the flavor this was a good stout. I loved the underlying molasses flavor. Good deep rich stout.

Nov 6, 2006 Black body. Aroma is roasty with chocolate, coffee, caramel, molasses, with a hop presence. Medium bodied. Reminded me quite a bit of the Deschutes stout.
