Nice, but kinda average and thin brew. HoppyGuy (111), USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 19, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a tan head. A bit of a weak aroma, with some chocolate and malt. Thin taste also, with roasted barley/chocolate flavor, verging on the side of too sweet for me. I think this beer misses the balance between malts and hops. This brew won’t scare anyone away, since it has such a light body to it, and no one would accuse it of being heavy. I’m not anxious to run out and get more of it. carboloader (319), Houston, Texas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 4, 2008 Visited brew pub in Bend, OR. Pours opaque with tan head. Delicious coffee, malt, roast flavors. Very smooth. Maybe a bit thin, but a very decent porter. cathcacr (588), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Jun 26, 2008 Oh damn, the aroma on this is considerably like Baba Booey’s breath. You know, that gingivitisy, awful stench that makes you think of solid human waste. I don’t advise taking a whiff of this one when drinking it, even if the rest of it is okay. Oh my god, yuck. :-(

Lightly sweet taste, with a bit of chocolate and coffee. Lightly bitter dry finish with a little espresso and just a smidge of pine.
