Jul 26, 2005 (12oz bottle) Clear cola body with a small tan head. Aroma is medium sweet, milk chocolate, cocoa. Taste is medium sweet, milk chocolate, some roast, light cola. Medim body, light acidity.

Apr 10, 2009 Courtesy of After4ever, thanks Tom. It is black with a red hue and a creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and chocolate. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of roasted malt, milk chocolate, coffee, dry citrus and a light, roasted bitterness in the finish. It is uncomplicated and light, and very easy to drink.

Black color, light brown edges & a thin layer of lacing. Nose of sweet candied mocha, licorice & roast. Flavor has a brief astringency but stays in the sweet roast realm 90% of the time. Finishes mochaish & roast with chocolate & coffee

Dec 24, 2008 Draft @ 7th St Brewhouse, Redmond, OR. Pours a darkish brown almost black color with a longlasting off-white head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and coffee flavor. Has a roasted malty finish with some hints of chocolate in the aftertaste.

Jun 6, 2007 Bottle from John’s Market. Aromas of chocolate and dark toasted malts. Pretty opaque dark brown/black. Brown light through the glass edges. Frothy, somewhat lacing, tan head. Thin to medium bodied. Starts with chocolate, which develops with swishing. Which thins the ale. The finish begins with a light malty sweetness, replaced by toasted malts, accompanied by enough hop bitter to make this a really good, as opposed to average, experience. Chocolate returns in the end. A good one.
