Nose is heavy on the roasted malt with medium chocolate tones. The taste is consistent to the aroma with the addition of coffee/mocha notes and a bittersweetness. Decent porter. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 20, 2007 Poured very dark, almost black with a nice tan head and good lacing. Big nose of roasted malts and chocolate. Mouthfeel creamy and flavors strong in coffee and chocolate. Dry finish with a hint of hop bitterness. Nice porter. IndianaRed (1555), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 31, 2005 On Tap at Cascade Lakes Lodge Clear very dark brown with a nice tan head with very smooth creamy lacing due to the nitro. Lots of dark roasted malt aromas and a rather acidic/metalic flavor and an almost rusty aftertaste. A rather thin feel made this a bit of a dissapointment. NoiZe (1336), Mooi Zeist, Netherlands

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 14, 2007 Bottle... Poured a deep, opaque black with amber highlights at the bottom of the glass, really thin, light brown head that dissipated quickly. Aroma is roasted nut, and malt with a hint of cocoa. Flavor is leafy, chocolate malt, and a dry hop ending with a slight coffee aftertaste. Creating a nice complex character and very satisfying. scrizzz (1286), kirkland, Washington, USA
