May 22, 2007 Draft at the Brewpub: Poured a dark brown with a smaller beige head. Light lacing. Nose is heavy on the roasted malt with medium chocolate tones. The taste is consistent to the aroma with the addition of coffee/mocha notes and a bittersweetness. Decent porter.

Feb 24, 2006 Pours dark brown with minimal tan head Nose is coffee and burnt brown toast. Some roasty malts and caramel in the flavour but a little acidic. Finishes dry and forgettable.

Mar 20, 2007 Poured very dark, almost black with a nice tan head and good lacing. Big nose of roasted malts and chocolate. Mouthfeel creamy and flavors strong in coffee and chocolate. Dry finish with a hint of hop bitterness. Nice porter.

Aug 31, 2005 On Tap at Cascade Lakes Lodge Clear very dark brown with a nice tan head with very smooth creamy lacing due to the nitro. Lots of dark roasted malt aromas and a rather acidic/metalic flavor and an almost rusty aftertaste. A rather thin feel made this a bit of a dissapointment.

May 14, 2007 Bottle... Poured a deep, opaque black with amber highlights at the bottom of the glass, really thin, light brown head that dissipated quickly. Aroma is roasted nut, and malt with a hint of cocoa. Flavor is leafy, chocolate malt, and a dry hop ending with a slight coffee aftertaste. Creating a nice complex character and very satisfying.
