Commercial Description:
Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate. This is the best way to describe Monkey Face Porter. It is a medium bodied porter with significant chocolate malt characteristics. But don’t let the dark color scare you. This beer finishes extremely dry with a hint of the Willamette hops used to create this perfectly balanced porter. Monkey Face Porter is perfect after a long day at the mountain or on the river!

Dark brown with lighter edges. Tannish head. Aromas of roast and chocolate. Some soy and lactose. A touch smoky. The flavor is much the same but seems a bit muted. The roast and bitter hops stand out the most. Creamy palate with a roasty dark malt finish.

Pretty standard here. Pour dark brown. Aromas of roasted malt and coffee. Flavor is slightly dry. Body is thin. Not bad.

[Bottle] A good dark brown color nice light head. The beer was semi dry with a very dry finish. I got a little chocloate flavor but was hoping for more. This was a good Porter.

Bottled. Pours brown and almost still. Nose is coffee and something burnt. The burnt flavor shows up in the flavor as well along with some caramel.

Courtesy of After4ever, thanks Tom. It is black with a red hue and a creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and chocolate. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of roasted malt, milk chocolate, coffee, dry citrus and a light, roasted bitterness in the finish. It is uncomplicated and light, and very easy to drink.

#900. Black with ruby highlights and minimal head. Aroma of chocolate, light roasted malts, mocha like coffee, a touch of milk and vanilla. Thin body with a little too much carbonation. Flavor isn’t quite as nice as the aroma. Chocolate, coffee, and light roasted malts. A bit one-sided. Finishes with some bitter chocolate. Decent, but all that amazing.

Tap at Cascade Lakes Lodge pours out black topped with a tan head. A nice light roast on this one. Nothing to great
