Warm sunset amber color with light cover of bubbles. Sweet tart aroma abuzz with herbal essence. Strong flavors of dry white grapes. Interesting, goes down quite easy for the strength, with a dry finish.

Bottle. Pours medium amber with a thin off-white head and ropey lacing. Nose is very spicy and vinous, smells like older white wine, plus ginger, cinnnamon, some funky brett. Really interesting and different, I dug this like crazy.

Bottle at the sour tasting at Naked City.

I’m pretty fond of cascade, but this one just misses the boat. Way, way too much herbal nature (mint, maybe jasmine tea), way too little vinous sour. Strong oak, but it’s just simply falling way short of where the mark should be. Compare St. Lamvinus and you’re looking at a 1 point difference on a 5 point scale.

750ml mail-ordered direct from the brewery. Nice! Hazy pour, somewhere between deep golden and pale amber, with a nice champagne-like carbonation. Very pungent white grape aroma, with only modest funk in there. The oak emerges too, but not in an overpowering way, just nicely complementary to the fruit. Slight cola and tart apple flavors seem to combine in the flavor, along with the elements already detectable in the nose. Full mouthfeel from the prickly carb, and a nice funky dry finish. Very impressive beer, kind of like a more demonstrative Castleton or something.

Bottle shared at CCB. Nice damn beer. Amazing!! Cloudy rich gold pour. White head. Aroma is really nice. Sour, fruity, and delicious. Flavor is sweet/sour with loads of fruit and some light vinous notes. This is really, really nice.

Special thanks to LaRoja for sharing. Awesome brew. Pours a golden hue with a white head. Aroma of grapes, lacto and sweet tarts candy. Flavor is light and refreshing, but plentiful. Grapes, a little oak and a good sourness. Easy drinking and not too acidic without being weak. This is very good.

Shared by Tim, thanks a lot. The appearance is all murky, like amber colored jello with bits and pieces visible and static in the beer. Cannot see through it but light radiates out. Head is medium at first, then fades but comes back easily with some agitation. Aroma is strong, tingles the nose with some alcohol and white grape. It is a cool combination, never had so much grape actually come out of a beer. As Tom mentioned the grape also comes off a bit mint-like. Some aceto and acetic qualities that work great in the structure of the beer. Flavor is spiky, acetic, white grape. Really a strong New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc aspect. Some white dry wood comes through with a thick tart aftertaste. The fizzy mouthfeel also works beautifully with the beers structure. Cascade is really stepping up their game with the new sours, much better than the original fruit ones.
750ml cork and wire, Duvel tasting glass.
