| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 18, 2009 Coppery peach. Scattered foam maintains a thick, well-retained collar. Peculiar nose of rubber, lime zest, celery, talc, sulfur, and juniper berries. Faintly lactic (lime sherbet). Staunch carbonation. Oppressively sour from the get-go with sharp lactic notes clashing with clingy acetic acid and hints of uric acid. Overtly sweet with white grape juice which is lightly tempered by a bright flash of lime zest. Odd conifer shades of juniper and pine needles hamper the oak which does its best to provide structure and accentuate the dryness. Grapes possess absolutely no vibrancy, which causes the tacky acids to run rampant. Overly dry ghostlike malt merely dusts the palate along with the oak. Finishes chalky with pulverized Sweet Tarts amid a pervasive stale character lingering alongside uric acid. Sorely lacks definition in all departments, and comes off as terribly flawed and hollow. Doesn’t even taste like beer, oddly enough. tytoanderso (1387), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA

Aroma of mint, cilantro, fresh lemon zest, a bit of lacto, light toasty malt, white grape juice. Extremely herbal and vinous with just the smallest bit of oak. Definitely doesn’t smell like a sour. Pours a hazed dark peach with a fleeting bright white head. Flavor is tart and vinous. More white grape juice, a bit of lacto presence, no barrel. Spearmint, cilantro. Cut grass. A melange of herbs. Slightly spicy. Citrus zest... kaffir lime? Bizarre... Creamy on the tongue. Slightly lactic. Lively carbonation with acetic notes hitting hard on the finish. Fun stuff! bb (2930), Martinez, California, USA

Tart/sour, big grape/wine aroma with underlying lemon. Tart/sour flavor with lemon, grape, and oak. Medium bodied. Nice lactic/acetic balance. Lingering tart/sour notes with wine grapes showing more and more. Refreshing. Nice complexity. Dickinsonbeer (3500), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 10, 2009 Updated: Sep 1, 2009Thanks to Tertons for sharing! Pours a medium amber with a thin white head. Aroma is a green spearmint bubblegum phenolic, leafy green, light toasted malts and a light citrusy and fruity tartness. Flavor has more spearmint- gets a bit medicinal and mouthwash like- prickly and tart- earthy herbal and grass, with some tea-berry and licorice notes as it warms. Astringent and tart- with a grapeskin tartaric acid lacing the front edge of the tongue. Kinda messy all around. Dedollewaitor (3769), Odense, Denmark
