Unclear medium grey amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy grape - berry, light to moderate hoppy, perfume, moderate yeasty, soap. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light to moderate tart bitter with a average to long duration, and a dry finish. Both aroma and flavor is a bit artificial IMO, but maybe it had a hard job, we got it together with HORAL, Cantillon Zwanze and other outstanding beers @ WSF. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090530] kp (8396), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 5, 2009 Bottle at Phil Lowry’s house. Cheers Phil. It definitely had some white wine grape character. It had decent sourness as well. Maybe a bit boozy, but the white wine grape character was very good and it did have some decent sourness to it as well. A beer that definitely stood out during a beer drinking day. bu11zeye (5475), Frisco, Texas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 25, 2009 (750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy orange body with a spare ring of white bubbles. Aroma of apricot, some sweaty socks, eucalyptus, white grapes, apple, and perfume. Flavor of lychee, kiwi, apple, grass, white grapes, and some rough (peppery) herbs. Unique. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 25, 2009 My Bottom Line:
White grapes, wooden tannins and menthol notes blend into lightly honeyed cereals in this exciting Sour Ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam floats atop the cloudy bright orange.
-The flavor profile is very enticing, but having tasted a few other Cascade sour ales, I’d say this one could be better polished.
-The prickly effervescence is a bit too much for the body, imho.
-A farm-like character exudes from the yeast profile.

Nose is strangely chemical like, full of juniper and spicy/peppery white grapes. Tastes strangely artificial, spiced and fortified. Syrupy and saccharine sweet. Kinda bad overall, to be honest.
