Commercial Description:
Our flagship, this beer defines the classic, American-Style Pale Ale. We looked to the Pacific Northwest, rather than England, for our inspiration and our ingredients. Utilizing malt, hops, water, and most importantly yeast from the USA allowed us to create a balanced, highly drinkable beer. It’s no accident that the Carrabassett Pale Ale is our top-selling beer, year after year.

Bottle found at Systembolaget. Brewed and bottled by Shipyard Brewing. BB date exceded by 2 months, I remember it being a lot better when it was fresh.

Bottled at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Clear amber, rocky head. Floral nose with ripe mango and dough. Sweet with candied sugar and cinnamon. Light-medium with clean rounded mouthfeel. A bit yeastty with doughy malt and some house character. Inaggressive and drinkable, despite a vague touch of metal in a mildly bitter finish.

Bottle (35 cl) from Systembolaget. Clear amber with medium off-white head. Fudgy malt aroma with earthy and herbal hops. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation. Well balanced with a dry finish.

On cask at Redlight. Clear amber color, thick soapy head. Very mild hop and wet grain aroma. Taste has a very weird wet sock hop character. Bland and unimaginative.

Cask at Redlight Redlight. Pours a clear, brassy amber color. A small layer of off-white foam sits at the top, leaving minimal, spotty lacing behind. Aromas were of sweet, toasted caramel, honey, and wet grains, with minimal floral hop character. Flavors followed suit, with sweet, sugar glazed cereal meeting mildly peppery, floral hops. Sweet, doughy yeast is present as well. The watery body is smooth, but seriously lacking substance. This brew is not that good, but not offensive either.

on cask @ redlight redlight. Sweet honey aroma, a rich sweetness with some resin in the background. Pours a rich golden amber with thick white head. Very malty, sweet honey malt flavor, a little hop flavor, a very slight citrus peel, a tiny hop bite hidden in there. Not a wow, but it is an easy drinking beer, makes for a nice cask conditioned beer. It is very smooth.
