Commercial Description:
Our flagship, this beer defines the classic, American-Style Pale Ale. We looked to the Pacific Northwest, rather than England, for our inspiration and our ingredients. Utilizing malt, hops, water, and most importantly yeast from the USA allowed us to create a balanced, highly drinkable beer. It’s no accident that the Carrabassett Pale Ale is our top-selling beer, year after year.

Decent pale ale, but nothing that stands out. Nice malt and hop balance with a good mouthfeel. Nice moderately dry finish.

Copper-amber; very toasty aroma, with minerals and light orange. Light body. More toast and orange on the palate. Dry, but gets sweeter and wetter at the finish.

Pours with an amber-orange body topped by a thick white quickly disappearing head with a decent amount of lace. Slightly sweet and citrusy hop aroma well balanced with malt. Not a ton of hops in the aroma but more so than malt. Sweet and slightly citrusy hop flavor with good malty notes and a bitter hoppy finish. Medium Bodied and smooth with a touch of dryness.

Golden orange hue. Big fluffy foamy light beige head. Fruity dusty nose. Starts sweet, pale malts, light cocoa, caramel, light to medium bodied, herbal hopped up finish. Pleasant and very drinkable.

Enjoyedwhile dining in Bar Harbor at the terrific West Street Café. The subtle hoppiness was a fine accompaniment to the clam chowder, lobster and crab cakes. Very flavorful but has a thin mouthfeel.

This beer poured a cloudy brown amber color and formed a small white bubbly head that left trace lace as it subsided. A small amount of carbonation was present. An aroma of malt and caramel was present with a touch of hops. The flavor was of malt, caramel with some bitterness brought on by the hops. The finish was dry and light. Not a bad little pale.

Bottled. This had a Grolsch like smell to it when opened. Didn't have enough hops for me.
