Has a medium amber color, and a fairly malty but still hoppy taste to it. about a medium amount of carbonation, just enough to make this go down really smoothly. no overbearing aftertaste, so therefor, it is automatically better than whatever that foul, indescribable flavor is that is left behind in your mouth for hours by most American macrobrews. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 2, 2006 Amber body with thin offwhite head. Smells bready and hoppy. Tastes malty at the beginning with a hoppy bitter finnish. Sweet with some bitterness, and a hint of roastiness on the finish too. A very well-balanced beer. Medium in body with just slightly less carbonation than many APAs have. Very drinkable and enjoyable. A new favorite example of the style, from a brewery that hasn’t disappointed me yet! | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 4, 2002 Clear dark gold. Thin, foamy white head. Steady carbonation. Mix of toasty sweet malts and citrus in the aroma. Hints of dry hay as well. Mildly crisp with a grassy/hay base, citric juiciness and a light toasted toffee aftertaste. Gentle bitterness. Light bodied. Clean and smooth. Long aftertaste. Dry as well. Finishes with an increased bitterness and citric peel dryness. Decent. Gregory (357), Pullman, Washington, USA
