Commercial Description:
Our flagship, this beer defines the classic, American-Style Pale Ale. We looked to the Pacific Northwest, rather than England, for our inspiration and our ingredients. Utilizing malt, hops, water, and most importantly yeast from the USA allowed us to create a balanced, highly drinkable beer. It’s no accident that the Carrabassett Pale Ale is our top-selling beer, year after year.

An excellent beer by any standards, just not a traditional pale ale. Has a medium amber color, and a fairly malty but still hoppy taste to it. about a medium amount of carbonation, just enough to make this go down really smoothly. no overbearing aftertaste, so therefor, it is automatically better than whatever that foul, indescribable flavor is that is left behind in your mouth for hours by most American macrobrews.

Amber body with thin offwhite head. Smells bready and hoppy. Tastes malty at the beginning with a hoppy bitter finnish. Sweet with some bitterness, and a hint of roastiness on the finish too. A very well-balanced beer. Medium in body with just slightly less carbonation than many APAs have. Very drinkable and enjoyable. A new favorite example of the style, from a brewery that hasn’t disappointed me yet!

Clear dark gold. Thin, foamy white head. Steady carbonation. Mix of toasty sweet malts and citrus in the aroma. Hints of dry hay as well. Mildly crisp with a grassy/hay base, citric juiciness and a light toasted toffee aftertaste. Gentle bitterness. Light bodied. Clean and smooth. Long aftertaste. Dry as well. Finishes with an increased bitterness and citric peel dryness. Decent.

excellent pale ale. One of the best I’ve had. It has a wonderful aroma, medium body, wonderfully malty, with the nice hops presence to finish it off.

Fantastic honey sweet aroma, matching appearance. Not terribly sweet flavour though, nice hoppiness to it. A very pleasant surprise.

Medium amber color. Medium head. Aroma is malty and citrusy. A medium bodied pale ale. Lightly malty with a slightly grassy hoppyness. Mild taste and not very hoppy. Flavors are citrus and toffee. Nice easy drinking pale ale. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

I really liked this beer, as far as pales go it did everything i like them to do. Very hoppy aroma, which led into a nice hoppy taste. Good clean crisp taste with a slightly dry aftertaste.
