Commercial Description:
We proudly introduce this, our first seasonal beer in the Carrabassett line. Its 6.8% ABV makes it a Strong Ale by style and the rich, creamy, malty base and mellow hop balance make it an instant classic. This full-flavored and medium-bodied beer rounds out an enjoyable day spent outdoors or a cozy evening spent in by the fire.

Crystal clear copper body topped by medium beige head. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, toffee, some chocolate, tobacco. Taste is medium sweet, tobacco, caramel, earthy, light cola, berry. Medium body, light creaminess, some acidity.

Earthy, tobaccoey malts proliferate over peppery conifer bark...Berry syrup tolerates the regular hop sparks...Good balance and great mouthfeel again from these guys while lacking confidence in most of the flavor profile...

Bottle at jeffc666’s Birthday Gathering. Courtesy of argo0, I think. Carbonated copper body. White fizzy head. Aroma is mild hops, light spice, caramel, and faint fruit. Taste is fruity (citrus) and lightly hopped with faint spice and hint of tobacco. Body is medium with big carbonation. Finishes with more spice and hops and light fruit. Not too bad.

Nice looking beer, clear sparkling garnet with a medium rocky manila head. The aroma is sweet up front with caramel and toffee distiguishable, later some tobacco and cocoa come through. The flavor is sweet and nutty throughout. Medium to lightly bitter. Almost a brown ale. The other ESA from this same brewer was much better IMO.

Clear dull red, decent head. Fruity, vanilla and toffee aroma with some floral notes. A bit thin in body and more bitter than expected. Not nearly as complex in flavor as the aroma suggests but clean.
